finally bloggin bout d perak trip thou it was qt some time ago. hees
d trip was rather interestin. 3 daes went past in a whizz. still rmber d first dae when we were all complainin. ok maybe it's only me n ms tan. hees. brought back wif me some 'souvneirs' thou. tons of mosquito bites, rashes, a great deal of excess baggage, dark n ugly complexion, bigger calf muscles, toothache... ok ok basically i look a sight n awful when i came back. was plannin on losin some weight on d trip bt didnt manage to. sobs.
sun:
got to sch on time. saw damn alot of unfamiliar faces. n dere were a hell lot of oac pple. qt worried. everyone else knew one another cos dey went for d pre camp. me n fel cldnt attend due to cca camp. saw fel while in my dad's car. lucky me. so we stuck together. d bus n several pple were late so we jus sat at d sch carpark for an hr plus doin nthg. d bus journey up was long n borin. groans.
mon. dae1:
reached gopeng town ard 6 plus for breakfast. had prata n teh tarik. didnt expect to get such food. hees. base camp, an orphanage, was only 15mins away. dere were cows n chickens. cute. d toilets were a horror. dere was shit in all of dem d flushes werent workin n dey stink like hell. worse still d doors cldnt be locked. wonder how d pple dere survived. d trek up d mountain was horrible. had to do it under d hot sun wif a big bagpack. d terrain was tough. nearly fell n sprain my ankle several times. had to push myself to get to d top. mud was everywhere n d grasses at some places were high up to my knees. had absolutely no idea wad was goin on below when we were trekkin thru dem. ewww... aniwae we got so high up in d mountains dat d water from d river was actually drinkable. n noe wad me n several gers bathed in d open. d water was freezin cold man. bt it was rather fun. hees. n everywhere became our toilet since none was available. ok come to tink of it actu it was qt disgustin. oh n we star gazed! d sky was so prettie...
tues.dae 2:
on d way down the mountain i nearly died! oh my god. slipped n lost my footin while on those cylindrical tings. thank god dat ck reflexes were fast enuf or i wld hae gone off wif d river.
white water rafted. it was so excitin bt our boat kept gettin stuck n it was tirin tryin to paddle. luckily none frm my boat got thrown offboard at d rapids. it must hae hurt for those who toppled in. opps. at d ltr part of d dae my grp went exploration of dis limestone cave. dere was dis rocky slope, 'holes' for us to climb in, paths where we had to leopard crawl...
wed.dae 3:
was supposed to be our cip dae. d pple dere treat it like a big ting. we even hae d village chief cumin down to address d openin can. bt we didnt get to do much cos d equipment werent available. dey were locked up in dis room n d lady wif d key wasnt ard. dis was d prob wif big areas. take a long time to travel from one place to another. felt qt bad for not bein able to help d pple dere much. we cld only help clear up d place n install d pipes n showers. dat was d best alr. sigh. played wif d kids dere thou. dey were all so nice n adorable!
feel rather lucky to be born in spore. wif clean water, proper sanitation... shld try to be contented wif wad i hae. ok aniwae hafta reallie thnx ck for takin care of me on d trip. 3 cheers for ya ck!
